Environmental Portrait

Here's Roman. He's the boot camp instructor over at Ironhorse. At the end of the summer, he'll shift his focus to doing some training of his own for an upcoming MMA competition.

This is a portrait I got of him. And below is a little description about what I like about it.

I've been trying to push myself to get in closer on people's faces. Maybe I could have gotten even closer, but it's a break from the typical composition I've been shooting. Also, this gym wasn't a place with the best of light, but it did have a doorway with light coming through from outside. In this shot, I thought the outdoor light highlighted Roman's face quite nicely.
