Sunrise

Part of what I'm looking to do with this internship is push myself to do things I wouldn't ordinarily do. Well this morning, I did that.

For those of you who know me, you know that I'm not much of a morning person. So today I did something out of character and woke up at 6:00 a.m. to try to capture a Waco sunrise.

The historic Waco Suspension Bridge at sunrise.

While I wasn't actually able to see the sun peaking out over the horizon (due to the remaining clouds from a thunderstorm the night before), I was able to get a glimpse at the beautiful color at that time of day.

My plan was to return to the same spot for sunset to compare the two times of day, but after clouds remained in the area for the rest of the day, that didn't quite work out. So for now, I'll consider this a work in progress.

  1. Haha, I couldn't stop laughing when I started reading the second paragraph because it's so true...that's dedication.

You should go to the dam in the morning down by the lake. (The entrance by the soccer fields) I used to go running down there sometimes, and the sun rises and sets there nicely. Keep it up Dan. -Aaron
