Fun with Photoshop

For today's post, I set out to do some exploring with my Canon Powershot G11.

While at Miller Springs Park in Temple, TX, I stumbled upon this awesome mural (seen below) near Lake Belton. I saw the it as a great chance to show 2 things: Photoshop's power of creating a panoramic image and some good ol' Texan artistry (where else would you see cowboys riding armadillos?).

Let's start with the 3 original images...

Then I ran the pictures through Photoshop using the "Align" tool and come up with this...




With the pictures combined into a single image, I used the "Blend" tool and the "Crop" tool to come up with this as the final image...




There you have it -- a cowboy riding an armadillo, holding a paintbrush, with army helicopters overhead.
